PROMISE Coordinated and Support Action Events Registration Terms and Conditions are set out in this document. Please read these terms and conditions carefully.
Policy and registration acceptance
PROMISE Coordinated and Support Action events follow these PROMISE Registration Rules & Conditions (the “Terms”). Accept the Terms & Conditions before registering. Registration implies acceptance of the Terms.
Usage of your data
PROMISE consortium safeguards personal data. The PROMISE Privacy Policy, integrated into these Terms, describes how PROMISE project collects, processes, and utilises your data. By providing your email address during event registration, PROMISE consortium and its event partners may send you event-related information. All registrations need an email address. PROMISE project manages your event registration using your personal data. This may include event material, logistics, updates, and more. PROMISE project may share your personal data with event service partners. When registering for or attending an event administered or co-sponsored by parties other than PROMISE project, your information may be shared with them and subject to their privacy rules. PROMISE consortium will not reveal your personal data without your permission, unless as required by law.
Nondiscrimination policy
We prohibit discrimination, harassment, and bullying against anyone for any reason, including age, ancestry, color, disability or handicap, national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual or affectional orientation, gender identity, appearance, matriculation, political affiliation, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
Safeguarding events
PROMISE events are safe, productive, and hospitable for all attendees, including staff and exhibitors. PROMISE events prohibit discrimination, harassment, and bullying. Participants must follow these rules and respect others. If You See Unacceptable Behavior: Report it to event personnel. Event personnel will gladly help harassed attendees call venue security or local law police, arrange escorts, or otherwise make them feel protected. Thanks for coming.
Liability waiver
In consideration of being allowed to register for and participate in the event, you hereby warrant and represent that you are 18 or older and freely waive, release from liability, assume all risks, and covenant not to sue PROMISE consortium, coordinator and/or its partners, personnel, or members for any expense, loss, damage, personal injury, including death, illness, COVID-19, disability, property damage, or property theft. Your heirs are bound by this Liability Waiver.
Invited speakership
If you present at a PROMISE event, we may disclose your contact and biographical information. Photographs are sometimes requested. In other circumstances, we put your name, employer, physical work address, work email address, corporate website, and/or professional LinkedIn profile on the event website. This allows event attendees and presenters to ask questions and offer comments on the event website. Speakers may also have to sign a release agreement or copyright form.
Event credential/badge scanning
PROMISE event co-sponsors, exhibitors, and other third parties may obtain personal information at their booths or presentations. You may choose to provide them your information, but you should read their privacy policies to resolve any concerns. If you attend a session or programme offered by a non-PROMISE exhibitor, you understand and agree that when you scan your badge or supply personal data, the information will travel to a non-PROMISE project and PROMISE conosrtium is not responsible for how that organisation handles your data.
PROMISE event photos and videos
We restricts multimedia at events to comply with worldwide data privacy rules (e.g. photography, video, audio, online streaming, and all future mediums). Attendees may use hand-held cameras and smart phones for personal, non-commercial photography. Photos cannot be published, sold, reproduced, communicated, disseminated, or commercially exploited. PROMISE project may employ photo/video/streaming/audio professionals to film and show the event. We may also utilise social media like Twitter to broadcast real-time images and videos to its feeds and show selected entries on event venue monitors. Participants and sponsors are invited to document their event experiences and share their own social material (text, images, audio, video, streaming) as long as it does not violate any attendee, sponsor, third party, or PROMISE project rights. Defamation and intellectual property infringement are examples. Attendees are responsible for acquiring releases or permissions to safeguard third parties’ rights.
Changes to these Terms
We maintain the right to modify, alter, or delete any of the foregoing Terms without notice. If some of these Terms become invalid, the rest will still apply. Event participants must follow these Terms including attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors.
Non-endorsement
PROMISE project partners and members does not necessarily endorse event attendees, speakers, exhibitors, or sponsors. Attendees, presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors are responsible for their presentations and literature
